Double Jaw Surgery

First of all, apologies for posting in English due to my poor Dutch. I just found out this forum and would like to ask for a recommendation on one subject.

I started my orthodontic treatment in the Netherlands more than 2 years ago. As per the original plan, a double jaw surgery would be performed close to the end of treatment. At that time I met the operator who will perform jaw surgery and working in collaboration with my orthodontist.

Orthodontic treatment went very successful, my teeth was perfectly located.

During the pre-operation consultancy with the operator I did not feel comfortable with the operator's responses when I ask about how the operation will be planned/performed and potential consequences. My orthodontist was not able to recommend an alternative operator in short term so I decided not to have the surgery.

Continued with braces for a while (about 2 months ago) and now I am with some support wires placed inner side of my front teeth.

Although my teeth are perfectly aligned I wonder if I can still have the double jaw surgery to fix my bite and the asymmetry on my jaws?

If so, can you recommend any hospital / operator you following the latest technology on that field.

Thanks for your responses / advises in advance.

Are your braces off in the mean time? because that isn't very clear to me .If the brackets were removed, and the surgery was not performed, you can still have it done, but I wouldn't postpone it for too long .If you have only wires on the inside of your front teeth ,these retainers will hold your front teeth and not the width of the dental arches . And this is extremely important in case you would decide to have the surgery after all.
I don't know where exactly you live, and since I'm located in Belgium I can give you some references in Belgium ,not in The Netherlands I'm afraid.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes my braces are off without having the operation (approximately 9 months ago). Now I do only have the wires on the inside my upper and lower front teeth.
My concern was if it is too late for the operation after such a break.
I live in the Netherlands but I would appreciate if you can give me some references in Belgium for me to consult with my insurance.
Many thanks for your time and answering me.

9 months ,with only wires on your front teeth is quite a long time, so chances are you'll need some sort of retreatment before surgery can be performed. Not sure though ,it depends on the preparation that was done. I'll send you a couple of names of clinics here in Belgium with very capable surgeons, with whom I work on a routine basis.
